Farmers’ Market July 23rd

In spite of a cool start to the day, lots of families came out for our Kids Day @ The Market this past Saturday. With crafts, facepainting, treats, kid breakfast, and the dinosaur bouncy house, it was a fantastic day! Thank you to the Niagara on the Lake Library, the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre, our amazing vendors, our facepainting volunteers Emily and Aleks, and Atlantis Inflatables for making the day wonderful!

At the Market, we love this time of year; the Niagara harvest is in full swing, with raspberries, apricots, plums, zucchini, snap peas, beans, potatoes, greens, and so much more now available. Visit one of our local farmers this Saturday at the Market to stock up on fresh, healthy produce. We also have frozen locally raised, hormone free meats and eggs, deli meats, jams, pickles, bread, baked goods and more available. Stop by Saturday morning to socialize with friends over a coffee and pastry or breakfast sandwich, and relax to the sounds of Niagara’s own award-winning musician Cory Cruise.

On an ongoing basis, The Market @ The Village is accepting donations of non-perishable food items for Newark Neighbours at both Wednesday and Saturday events. We are located at 111 Garrison Village Dr. (across from The Garrison House and Refuge Antiques) Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm until October 8th and SupperMarket runs every Wednesday from 4:30 to 9pm until September 21st.
