Happy Bees Apiary is proud of what we do for our community, the environment and making sure we do our part to keep bees in our lives. Bees save our lives every day and we owe it not just to them, but to ourselves to make sure that these little creatures pollinate all of our flowers, fruits and vegetables for years to come.

A proud member of the Ontario Bee Keepers Association provided high quality Ontario Honey, soaps, lip balms and bees wax.

We use these ingredients along with the organic base to make the gelato in-house with an old fashioned three-machine process that sees the base being aged for 12 to 14 hours.Experience gelato without chemical emulsifiers and stabilizers or chemically refined white sugar — these three are the standard fare of most other gelaterias and ice cream parlours. We sweeten our gelato with grape sugar derived from Italian grapes. If we have to use regular sugar, we ONLY use 100 per cent, certified organic raw cane sugar that is off-white. In addition we use organic whipping cream and milk that is fresh and we are told by the supplier comes very close to being organic but has yet to be certified. Additionally, we only use the purest water — derived from reverse osmosis.

This is our first year growing a market garden, so we’ll see what grows but we will be planting tomatoes, peppers,
beets, carrots, kale, beans, garlic, edible flowers and a few more. Early in the season I may have some foraged things
like fiddleheads and scapes, and flowers. We will also have our wool products (blankets made from our sheep,
lambskins, yarn, and rovings). By midsummer we should have honey from our bees, and there will be jams and pickles.

Lindsay’s Kitchen was started by Lindsay Rose after she discovered her passion for cooking. She found herself in the kitchen more frequently, and helped cater events for family and friends. The secret to making all of her recipes delicious is that she used her own homemade Gourmet Compound Butter logs! To create instant depth, richness and layers to boring dishes, Lindsay’s Kitchen Gourmet Compound Butters give your dishes the savory and sweet life they deserve! The 1/4+ lb  Butter logs are well known for being frozen for convenience and longevity. “For many years we have built relationships with customers based on trust earned through the sale of quality farm products, ” notes Tom, whose family has been farming and marketing their harvest since 1932. Today the 350 acre spread is home to a herd of beef cattle, an on-site grist mill and a 15-acre market garden, all expertly managed by Tom & Mary Anne. The Neufeld Family Farm is a proud member of the Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario.

Products: Pastured beef, freshly milled wheat flour & rye flour, several types of potatoes & a wide variety of other vegetables, yellow & white sweet corn, field tomatoes.

“I grow hard red wheat for this mill which isn’t as commonly grown in Niagara as soft red wheat which is what you usually see in the field. Our mill came from Germany and was restored after WWII from a windmill. We went there to buy it when we were there for a wedding in the late 1980s, just after the Wall came down. We run it off our tractor PTO nice and slow so the flour isn’t heated like a modern steel flail mill. In this flour you TRULY get whole grain wheat flour with the hull and wheat germ intact. It will make the finest, healthiest, most fiber filled bread you have ever known. We know because we eat it all the time. De La Terre’s bread is also made with our flour. We have been milling grain for over 20 years.”
