With a successful opening week behind us, we look forward a fantastic year at The Market. This Saturday at the Farmers’ Market, you will find fresh rhubarb, asparagus, greens, radishes, and a few other early crops. As the weeks go by, you will be seeing more farmers joining our line-up as their produce ripens. Being a “true” farmers’ market means 100% local produce sold by our Niagara farmers. Sometimes this means being a little patient while waiting to eat the best fruit and veggies that Niagara grows. But I know it is worth the wait! Our entertainment this Saturday is Tim Atherton. Grab a cup of superb coffee from Pay It Forward Gourmet Café, a pastry from Willow, or a farm-fresh egg breakfast sandwich from Lakeland, pull up a seat at a picnic table, and enjoy the music. As always, jams, jellies, pickles, soaps and lotions, fresh cut flowers, and much more will be available from our vendors. Don’t forget that we are offering “Yoga on the Grass” with Paula every Saturday at 10 am. This is a drop-in class with no commitment; just $5 weekly to join in. Show up a few minutes before the class with your yoga mat and have a relaxing start to your weekend! Also on this Saturday from 10-11, Heart Niagara will be offering a free CPR refresher course. This drop-in session is an opportunity to refresh your skills, and potentially save someone’s life. Heart Niagara will be holding a CPR certification course at The Market on Saturday June 14th. Registration is required for the certification course. For more information, please contact Heart Niagara at 905-358-5552 or info@heartniagara.com
