FARMERS’ MARKET NEWS FOR SATURDAY AUGUST 25th
Only two weekends left before the kids head back to school! This Saturday, The Farmers’ Market in conjunction with the NOTL Safety Committee and St. John’s Ambulance will be holding a free Car Seat Clinic at the Farmers’ Market from 9am to 11am, just in time for back-to-school! Stop by to have your seat and installation inspected, receive safety tips, and have the peace of mind that your precious cargo is being safely transported. After your car seat inspection, do some local shopping! The Farmers’ Market is still overflowing with lovely, ripe, local fruits and veggies. Although we are small market, we have a bit of everything good that Niagara has to offer. In addition to our home-grown produce, we have jams, jellies, pickles, juices, breads, baked goods, pies, maple syrup, artisanal seasoned butter, hand-tied floral bouquets, hot coffee, and delicious breakfast and lunch options. Everything local; everything Niagara! Enjoy the warm mornings at the Market before there is an autumn nip in the air. Tim Atherton will be on stage for your enjoyment while you take time to catch up with old friends.
SupperMarket NEWS FOR WEDNESDAY AUGUST 29th
The count-down is on for SupperMarket! If you haven’t had a chance to join us this season, do it before it’s over; we run until September 19th. This coming Wednesday August 29th, all of our incredibly creative food vendors will be cooking up mouth-watering food, with wines by Diamond Estates and Lailey, refreshing beer from Silversmith & Oast, Cider from Niagara College, and music by the lovely and talented Jessica Wilson. And, as always, the kids can enjoy the FREE Kids’ Zone (with a non-perishable food donation for Newark Neighbours PLEASE) from 6-8pm. Kid’s Zone is sponsored by DF Design Build, Niagara Inflatables, and Niagara Nature Tours.
We are located at 111 Garrison Village Dr. (by the colourful picnic tables across from The Garrison House) Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm until October 6th, and SupperMarket runs every Wednesday from 4:30 to 9pm until September 19th.
