FARMERS’ MARKET NEWS FOR SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 29th
Although the 2018 SupperMarket season is over, the Farmers’ Market @ The Village continues for 2 more weeks. This Saturday September 29th, we welcome “Etsy Made In Canada: Niagara” to The Market @ The Village grounds from 10am to 5pm. With over 70 artisans displaying their hand-made wares, and our Market vendors with their tables brimming with local produce, it is truly one-stop-shopping! We invite you to join us for breakfast, pastries, and coffee and catch up with old and new friends. Nothing tastes better than farm to table. You will find a wide variety of seasonal baked goods, gourmet compound butter, pickles, preserves, jellies, juices, hand tied floral bouquets, and so much more. Grab a coffee, pull up a seat, and enjoy the music of Jessica Wilson.
HARVEST CELEBRATION SATURDAY OCTOBER 6th
Mark October 6th on your calendar. At our “Harvest Celebration” you can pick up all the fixin’s for your Thanksgiving dinner. We have everything from soup to nuts (literally!) Pies and crisps, squash, potatoes, greens, glazes, and gorgeous flowers for the table. Pick up some early Christmas gifts from Wineroute Antiques. We are holding an old-fashioned pie competition; no need to pre-register. Bring your entries to the Market tent by 11 am on the 6th, and judging will be at noon. For more info, you can email notl.market@gmail.com With every purchase from one of our vendors on this last day of Market for 2018, you will receive a ballot for an amazing Thanksgiving basket, brimming with deliciousness from our vendors. The more you purchase from our vendors, the more chance you have to win this beautiful basket.
We will continue to accept donations at non-perishable foods Newark Neighbours at our Saturday Market right through till closing day on October 6th. We are blessed to live in such a wonderful community; please give back to help those less fortunate.
