LAST FARMERS’ MARKET OF THE SEASON IS THIS SATURDAY!
On Saturday October 3rd, be sure to join us for the last Farmers’ Market of 2020, and celebrate another bountiful season here in Niagara. We will have farmers, food producers, and local artisans. Special seasonal offerings from our vendors include fresh-pressed apple cider, apple and pumpkin pies, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cabbage, grapes, squash, and so much more. Stock up on items that store well to enjoy as the winter months approach. And of course, many of our vendors offer Niagara goodness in their pickles, preserves, and jellies that can be enjoyed year round. Also, many of our vendors will be offering special items this coming Saturday, and clearing out their summer stock. Brian from Smooth Edge Sharpening Services will be set up one last time to service your knives and scissors before the snow flies! Bring your carving knives along, in preparation for Thanksgiving turkey.
Thinking about starting your Christmas shopping? With fall festivals being held virtually this year, The Market @ The Village is your opportunity to shop with local artisans in person. Not sure about you, but I much prefer talking with the artisans, seeing their products, and making that connection when purchasing hand-made items for myself or for gifts. And we definitely have a wide selection for you! From antiques, to handmade jewelry, bath and body products, quilts, pottery, woodwork, clothing, and of course, gourmet food products to make up a basket of local goodness, we have something for everyone. Visit Little Green Shop, Nyanyas of Niagara, Township Niagara, Olsen Family Farm, Kiwi’s Curios, Rustic & Resin, The Hive, Wineroute Antiques and themarypotter to pick out that perfect gift!
We hope to see everyone out for one last gathering for 2020; stock up on local goodness, have one last visit with your favourite farmer, and enjoy the fall weather.
We would also like to thank our generous sponsors for the 2020 season; without them, this fantastic community event simply would not happen. A huge thank-you goes out to our sponsors John & Liz Hawley, The Wineries of Niagara on the Lake and Limited Distillery. Check our social media throughout the winter months for updates on happenings @ The Village.
