OPENING DAY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
On behalf of the farmers and vendors of the Market @ The Village, I send our community a heartfelt thank you. I am humbled by the support that our Town gives us. As a lifetime resident of Niagara on the Lake, I have always known how special our Town is, but the outpouring of love, support, respect, and understanding that I witnessed on opening day blows me away. So, THANK YOU. Although the weather was cold and blustery, you came out and supported local!
Every week, our Saturday morning Farmers’ Market is a great way to stock your kitchen with wholesome, locally grown and produced veggies and foods. This week, our farmers will have STRAWBERRIES, asparagus and rhubarb available, along with herbs, microgreens, early greens, vegetable plants for your garden, and beautiful hand-tied bouquets to brighten your table. Know your farmer; all produce is grown on local farms; no imported bananas and oranges here at the Market @ The Village! As always, available this Saturday, will be an array of amazing baked goods, farm-fresh eggs, award-winning jams, honey, maple syrup, maple butter, and many take-home meal options, including frozen entrees and fresh hot rotisserie chicken. And once Ontario enters Phase 1 of the reopening plan, we will welcome back our artisans, and vendors with products for bath, body, home & garden. When you purchase from The Market @ The Village, you are supporting a local farmer or producer in your own community. Keep it local!
Although we are an outdoor market, face masks are mandatory for all staff, vendors, and shoppers. For the convenience of our customers, we do have an ATM onsite every Saturday; some vendors accept cash only, some card only, and some either. Shoppers are welcome to bring their own reusable bags, but must pack their own purchases. At all times, our vendors do their best to maintain the recommended 6 feet between themselves and shoppers, and we ask shoppers to be mindful of physical distancing also.
The Market @ The Village’s Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday until October 9th from 8am to 1pm.
