YOUTH EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Market @ The Village is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable individual to assist with the operation of the Saturday morning Farmers’ Market. The ideal candidate would be concentrating their studies or have graduated from an education in Marketing, Graphic Design, Business, or Event Management. This seasonal position is approx. 30 hours per week in both an onsite and work-from-home environment. This position involves assisting with physical set up, operation, and tear down of the Saturday morning Farmers’ Market. The successful candidate would also be handling social media, advertising, design, public relations, and other tasks, working from home. Applicants must have reliable transportation, availability of a home computer and internet access, be proficient on social media sites, Microsoft Office, and able to do physical work; some heavy lifting is required. A passion for local food would be an asset. Availability on Saturdays is mandatory.
Applicants must be between the ages of 15-30, a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status, and legally entitled to work in Canada.
