SO MUCH LOCAL GOODNESS @ MARKET EVERY SATURDAY.
Canada Day @ The Market was sure was a humid one! Regardless of the weather, it was wonderful to see so many of our regular customers shopping @ The Market and supporting local. With our vendors booths decorated for Canada Day, and a feeling of celebration in the air, we had a chance to catch up with old friends, and make some new ones. The picnic area was busy with customers grabbing a bite to eat, tossing the frisbee, and playing a few games of cornhole.
We held a draw for an “All Canadian” gift basket, containing Maple Syrup donated by Neufeld Family Farm, Icewine donated by Jackson Triggs Winery, and a gift certificate for “poutine for 2” from local restaurant The Stagecoach. The lucky winner was Kyle from Parry Sound Ontario. He was happy to take the maple syrup and icewine home to enjoy, and planned on stopping into the Stagecoach for lunch before they headed home on Sunday!
For your shopping needs this coming Saturday, our vendors’ tables will be brimming with freshly picked Niagara produce; cherries, strawberries, raspberries, beets, peas, green beans, zucchini, salad greens, potatoes, microgreens, and much more will be available. As always, baked goods, farm fresh eggs, local honey, maple syrup, sweet and savoury preserves, breakfast and lunch options and drinks, eco friendly products for home and body, hand-tied floral bouquets & gift items will be waiting for you to purchase. Healthy eating has never been this easy or this fresh.
