SupperMarket NEWS FOR WEDNESDAY JUNE 27th
Look forward to breaking up the work week with SupperMarket on Wednesday June 27th. Local musical favourite “The Permtones” will take the stage with their funky 70’s style. As always, we will have a full line up of our regular food trucks and vendors cooking up some mouth-watering dishes. Featured wineries on the 27th are Inniskillin and Hinterbrook, beer from Silversmith and The Exchange, and cider by Ironwood. For wine, be sure to bring an acrylic glass from home, or a reuseable GoVino glass can be purchased for $2. Mom and Dad can enjoy time socializing with friends while the kids enjoy the free “Kids Zone”. The activities are open weekly from 6-8pm, and are sponsored by DF Design Build, Niagara Inflatables, and Niagara Nature Tours. Remember that there’s lots of free parking in the lot off of Niven Road, and handicapped/seniors parking in the paved lot.
While enjoying the Kids Zone @ SupperMarket, the Farmers’ Market, or the SupperMarket, please think about giving back to our amazing community. We collect donations of non-perishable food items for Newark Neighbours on both Wednesday and Saturday. The Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday morning from 8 am to 1 pm until October 6th, and the SupperMarket runs every Wednesday evening from 4:30 to 9 pm until September 19th. These great community events are sponsored by John & Liz Hawley, Allstate Insurance Co., St. Catharines, Niagara on the Lake Realty, Wineries of Niagara on the Lake, DF Design Build, and the Town of Niagara on the Lake, and are located at 111 Garrison Village Dr. (Located by the colourful picnic tables across from The Garrison House) Always think local and support local first.
With so much to do on Canada Day weekend when you live in the first capital of Upper Canada, this Saturday’s Farmers’ Market is the perfect way to start it off right! Our farmers and vendors will be showing their Canadian pride this Saturday; customers will have a chance to vote for the vendor that has the best decorated booth. The winning vendor will receive a “SupperMarket for 2” package, to enjoy at our Wednesday night event. This Saturday @ The Market, you will find cherries, beets, lettuce, beans, garlic scapes, peas, new potatoes, radishes, herbs, and more. Forgot your shopping bag? Swing by the Market table to purchase a Greenbelt cloth shopping bag for $1, and then fill it with local goodness! Smooth Edge Sharpening Services will be set up 8-1 on Saturday; drop your knives and scissors off with Brian, grab a coffee and some breakfast, and enjoy the music of local artist Tim Atherton.
Meet You @ The Market!
