It is hard to believe that summer is drawing to an end. With the kids heading back to school next week, Saturday Farmers’ Market is the ideal place to pick up lunch items. With lots of fresh fruit still ripening, leafy greens, jams and jellies, amazing baked goods, and honey, they will go back to school fueled with healthy, local, fresh lunches! Enjoy the last weekend of summer by joining us on Saturday morning for a delicious breakfast, pastry, coffee, tea, and enjoy the music of Tim Atherton. Such a great way to start off your weekend!
There are only three more weeks left to go in the SupperMarket season. On Wednesday September 4th, we will be entertained by Tim Atherton, wines from Lakeview & Inniskillin, beer from Oast House and The Exchange, and cider from Ironwood. Our incredibly creative food vendors will have something to please everyone’s palate. Pop your head into the Meridian Credit Union Vendors MarketPlace under the big white tent; you never know what you may find! Our free “Kid’s Zone”, sponsored by DF Design Build, Niagara Inflatables, and Niagara Nature Tours will be open from 6-8 pm. When your children partake in the Kid’s Zone activities, be sure to bring a non-perishable food donation for Newark Neighbours. Ample parking for SupperMarket is available in the lot off of Niven Road, and handicapped/senior parking is available in our front parking lot. With only 3 more Wednesday evening events left this season, join us on the 4th to celebrate our community!
The Market @ The Village is accepting donations of non-perishable food items for Newark Neighbours at both Wednesday and Saturday events. We are located at 111 Garrison Village Dr. (by the colourful picnic tables across from The Garrison House) Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm until October 5th, and SupperMarket runs every Wednesday from 4:30 to 9 pm until September 18th.
