OUR SMILING STAFF, READY TO GREET YOU EACH SATURDAY!
With the beautiful weather now here, don’t forget to stop in at the Saturday morning Farmers’ Market before you head out for the day. Our local farmers have their tables full of seasonal produce; what better way to celebrate Niagara’s bounty than a meal made from fresh local fruits and veggies? With fresh baked goods, hand-tied floral bouquets, and breakfast-to-go, including delicious iced chai tea and iced Madras coffee, Saturday mornings and the Farmers’ Market go hand-in-hand. Now in season are everbearing strawberries, raspberries, beets, garlic scapes, lettuce, spinach, chard, microgreens, snap-peas, new potatoes, fingerling Peruvian potatoes, radishes, herbs, and so much more to get creative with in the kitchen. The staples will be available also; organic sourdough bread, farm fresh eggs, cheese, organic butter, local honey, maple syrup, all-natural soda, wine, jams, jellies, marmalades & chutneys, dehydrated soups & tibicos (water kefir), and more. To round out your Market shopping experience, we have quilts, antiques, hand-made African baskets, all-natural green bath, body & home products, hand-made gift cards, and unique jewelry items.
At the entrance to the Market, customers are able to purchase Limited Distillery’s hand sanitizer ($16/500ml) This stuff is great! No “funny” smell, and it dries quickly. We would like to thank our good neighbours Limited Distillery for providing Farmers’ Market with the sanitizer that our customers use prior to shopping. Also available for the purchase price of $15 are the great face shields that our staff and some of our vendors wear on Saturdays. These shields are very comfortable, can be worn for extended periods of time, and protect the entire face, in addition to allowing a better visual for lip reading and facial expression.
Thanks to the support of our sponsors John & Liz Hawley, The Wineries of Niagara on the Lake, and Limited Distillery, we are bring you Farmers’ Market every Saturday morning from 8 am to 1 pm until October 3rd. 111 Garrison Village Dr (in front of the Garrison House restaurant)
