This Saturday August 13th will be chock-full of local goodness, with our vendors offering up fresh Niagara fruits and veggies, baked goods, jams, jellies, pickles and preserves, juices, gift items, bath & body products, and of course, breakfast & lunch items, hot coffee & tea, and other delicious treats. Everywhere you look at this time of the year, you see ripe tomatoes. And we are not just talking beefsteak; our farmers grow so many beautiful heirloom varieties in impressive colours and flavours. Next week, on Saturday August 20th, we will be holding our first “Tomato Day @ The Market”. Come out to sample some little-known varieties, try some tomato-based bath products, taste some tomato-based preserves, pick up great recipe ideas, and enter for a chance to win a Market @ The Village gift basket.
