Two of our favourite things……..Strawberries and Dads!
We would like to thank our wonderful customers for the great show of support so far this season. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces every Saturday. This week, we have a special day in store for Dad, with fun photo ops, and a chance to win a “Dad Gift Basket”. Plan on spending some time at the Market, and treat Dad to a coffee and some breakfast or lunch as a Pre-Fathers Day outing. As always, Sweets & Swirls will be cooking up their world-famous “Egg Thingy”. Knelsen Family Homestead will be BBQing naturally raised, hormone free sausage on a bun, and Cheese Secrets will be serving up delicious gourmet sandwiches and several sizes of charcuterie boxes for the foodie dad. The Microgreen Queen will be ladling out her delicious soup of the week and freshly baked scones. Truly something for every hungry tummy.
It’s finally delicious strawberry season here in Niagara! This week, our farmers and food vendors are excited to provide you with strawberries, rhubarb, farm fresh eggs, entrees, soups, and other take-home meal options, fresh-baked pastries & pies, organic maple syrup, local honey, cheese, seasonal greens, microgreens, jams, jellies, hand-tied floral bouquets, and so much more. As more crops to come into season, more farmers will be adding local goodness to our Saturday mornings. Each week at The Market @ The Village we also have artisans, crafters, gift items, home products, and bath and body products.
Stop by the Market tent at the back of the Market to browse our “Cookbook Lending Library” and drop a donation of non-perishable food items in the bin for Newark Neighbours.
The Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday morning from 8 am to 1 pm until October 7th.
