Canada Day @ The Market!

START YOUR CANADA DAY OFF RIGHT @ THE MARKET!

Start off your Canada Day right with a stop at the Farmers’ Market! With Canada themed draws (think poutine & icewine!), games, music and food, there’s something for everyone. Our vendors will be decked out in their red & white; be sure to wear yours. Our local farmers have their tables full of seasonal produce; what better way to celebrate Niagara’s bounty than with a meal made from fresh local fruits and veggies? With fresh baked goods, hand-tied floral bouquets, and breakfast & coffee, Saturday mornings and the Farmers’ Market go hand-in-hand. Now in season are strawberries, radishes, beets, garlic scapes, lettuce, spinach, chard, microgreens, snap-peas, new potatoes, herbs, and so much more to get creative with in the kitchen. The staples will be available also; naturally raised beef, lamb, pork, chicken, farm fresh eggs, cheese, local honey, maple syrup, jams, jellies, marmalades & chutneys, delicious macaroons, cookies & baked goods, hot sauce, and more. To round out your Market shopping experience, we have bath, body & home products, cloth shopping bags, hand made aprons, fair trade clothing, garden decor & chocolate. Shoppers are welcome to and encouraged to bring their own reusable shopping bags; be kind to our world! Stop by the Market tent to browse our Cookbook Lending Library and drop off a donation for Newark Neighbours.
Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday morning from 8 am to 1 pm until October 7th, located at 111 Garrison Village Dr (in front of the Garrison House restaurant)
