FARMERS’ MARKET & KIDS DAY @ THE MARKET THIS SATURDAY AUGUST 5th
Well, this past Saturday was a washout; literally! On Friday, because of the weather forecast we decided to postpone our Kids Day @ The Market to August 5th. Then, early Saturday morning, we made the hard decision to cancel Farmers’ Market also. The safety of our vendors and customers comes first.
So, weather permitting, this Saturday August 5th, our annual “Kids Day @ The Market” finally makes its’ return after a 3 year hiatus, complete with a bouncy house from Niagara Inflatables, and many fun family activities. The kids can enjoy crafts, colouring, and scheduled story times from authors Kathryn Recourt, Diane Martin, and the NOTL Public Library. Lots of kid-friendly food and drinks will be available for purchase, and our vendors will have some special kid-related items for sale at their booths. For the grown-ups, our regular Saturday vendors will have lots of fresh Niagara produce available; cherries, peaches, apricots, plums beets, peas, green beans, zucchini, salad greens, potatoes, and much more will be beautifully displayed on our farmers tables . As always, fantastic baked goods, freshly baked bread, pickles & preserves, and fresh cut flower bouquets will add a splash of colour to any table. All of our vendors at your Market are 100% local, and they certainly appreciate the support of our community. Plan on spending the morning with the kids or grandkids, grab a bite of breakfast or lunch, and get your shopping done while they partake in the activities. All Kids Day @ The Market activities are free, however, we are happily accepting donations for our local youth group “NOTL Youth Collective” https://www.notlyouth.com/
The Market @ The Village Farmers’ Market is an open air, fun shopping experience. We work hard to ensure that we are providing our customers with a friendly place to access farm to table food. Every Saturday we are accepting non-perishable food donations for our local food bank, Newark Neighbours.
