FARMERS MARKET STARTS THIS SATURDAY MAY 26TH!

Oh happy day!  The Farmers’ Market opens this Saturday for the season. Again this year, the first 25 to arrive will receive a “loot bag” chock-full of items from both our Farmers’ Market and SupperMarket vendors.  In addition to many returning vendors, we are thrilled to welcome Bee Inspired Farm, Just Peachie Farm, Nolaa Granolaa, Plants & More, Small Scale Farm, Staff Meal Niagara, and Trend Aqua Fresh to their first day of Farmers’ Market.   Each week will see more and more farmers joining us on Saturday mornings as their crops ripen.  At the first Market of the season, the home gardener can expect to find a good selection of herbs, fruit, and vegetable plants, cannas, perennials, and hearty hibiscus, vintage and antique garden decor, and other interesting items.  Sweets & Swirls and Staff Meal Niagara will be ready to serve the breakfast crowd with their tasty offerings.  As always, an abundant assortment of pickles, preserves, jams, jellies, gourmet butter, hand-tied floral bouquets, and seasonal veggies will be available for purchase. Smooth Edge Sharpening Services will be joining us again this season every 3rd Saturday, starting on June 9th.  Plan on joining us on opening day for a relaxing morning of catching up with friends and neighbours, grabbing a bite to eat, and listening to some live music by local musician Cory Cruise. The Niagara on the Lake Library will have free kid’s activities and information all morning.  For your shopping convenience, we will have an ATM onsite at both Farmers’ Market and SupperMarket throughout the season.

SupperMarket on Wednesday May 30th is going to be another fantastic community event! Enjoy the sound of “Undercover” while dining on unique foods from an array of vendors. Don’t forget to check out all of the great vendors up under the big white tent for even more food choices.  Trius and Reif wineries, and Silversmith and The Exchange breweries and Lowrey Bros. Cider will be ready to quench your thirst.  Stop in at the Betty Loo photo booth for some SupperMarket fun! We ask that you bring a non-perishable food donation for Newark Neighbours if your children are enjoying the activities in the free Kids Zone.  The Kid’s Zone will be operating weekly from 6-8pm and is sponsored by Niagara Inflatables, Niagara Nature Tours, and The Market @ The Village.

Looking forward to seeing everyone come out to share good food, good drinks, and good community.  The Market is located at 111 Garrison Village Drive in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Meet You @ The Market!
