On Saturday October 7th, join us for the last Farmers’ Market of 2023, and celebrate another bountiful season here in Niagara. As we prepare to give thanks and spend time with loved ones, the Market @ The Village is thinking about those less fortunate in our community. We will be holding a food drive for Newark Neighbours, our local food bank who does so much for those in need. We be accepting donations of non-perishable foods at our Saturday Market right through till closing at 1pm this Saturday October 7th. We are blessed to live in such a wonderful community; give back to help those less fortunate. Our farmers, food producers, and local artisans can’t wait to serve you! Special seasonal Thanksgiving Dinner offerings from our vendors include Martini Glass Floral Centerpieces, apple, pumpkin, blackberry, and chocolate pies, ready-to-go delicious charcuterie boards, seasonal prepared side dishes, a variety of cheeses (including pumpkin!) potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, corn, beans, beets, carrots, onions, garlic, kale, herbs, and so much more. Stock up on items that store well to enjoy as the winter months approach. And of course, many of our vendors offer Niagara goodness in their pickles, preserves, and jellies that can be enjoyed year round. Also, many of our vendors will be offering special items this coming Saturday, and clearing out their summer stock before the snow flies! Check out each individual vendor to see what they have to offer. It’s a great time to pick up holiday hostess gifts, or a little something for yourself.
Thinking about starting your Christmas shopping? The Market @ The Village is your opportunity to shop with local artisans and avoid the crowds at the seasonal fairs. Not sure about you, but I enjoy having a leisurely conversation with the artisans, seeing their products, and making that connection when purchasing hand-made items for myself or for gifts. And we definitely have a wide selection for you! From gorgeous wooden charcuterie boards, candle holders, bird houses, deliciously scented candles, Christmas advent calendars, Christmas ornaments, children’s books, knitting and crochet kits, bath and body products, and of course, gourmet food products to make up a basket of local goodness. We have something for everyone on your gift list.
We hope to see everyone out for one last gathering for 2023; stock up on local goodness, have one last visit with your favourite farmer, and enjoy the Autumn weather.
