FARMERS’ MARKET NEWS FOR SATURDAY JULY 21st
This past Saturday, many local families joined us for our annual Kids Day @ The Market. With crafts, art, games, period costumes, prizes, give-aways, treats, kid foods, and a bouncy castle, it was a fantastic day! Thank you our community partners Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre, NOTL Library, NOTL Museum, Ontario Early Years, Growing with Brock, The Community Crew, our amazing vendors, and Niagara Inflatables for making the day such a success!
At the Market, we love this time of year; the Niagara harvest is in full swing, with raspberries, cherries, apricots, plums, zucchini, snap peas, beans, potatoes, greens, microgreens, and so much more now available. Visit our local farmers this Saturday at the Market to stock up on fresh, healthy produce. We also have local honey, maple syrup, granola, jams, pickles, bread, baked goods and unique gift items from Wineroute Antiques available. Drop your knives, tools, and scissors off with Brian at Smooth Edge Sharpening Services while you socialize with friends over a coffee and a pastry, breakfast or lunch, and relax to the sounds of local band The Treetops.
SupperMarket NEWS FOR WEDNESDAY JULY 28th
SupperMarket on Wednesday July 25th is going to be fantastic; we welcome Mel Monaco to the stage. As always, our fantastic food vendors will be ready to serve you their mouth-watering creations. The wineries next week are Pondview and Niagara College Teaching Winery, beer from Oast House and The Exchange, and local cider from Ironwood. It is a good idea to bring along chairs or a picnic blanket, as the tables and stand-up barrels do fill up quickly. Ample parking is available in the lot off of Niven Road, and parking for the elderly and disabled in the lot in front of the Garrison House. The FREE Kids Zone is open weekly from 6-8pm, and are sponsored by DF Design Build, Niagara Inflatables, Niagara Nature Tours. Take a break from the mid-week grind and plan to meet up with friends at Niagara’s social event of the week.
We are located at 111 Garrison Village Dr. (by the colourful picnic tables across from The Garrison House) Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm until October 6th, and SupperMarket runs every Wednesday from 4:30 to 9pm until September 19th.
