THE SUPPERMARKET IS BEAUTIFUL ONCE THE SUN SETS
The last SupperMarket of 2019 will be held on Wednesday September 18th. Only two more weeks to go, so squeeze every last bit out of Niagara on the Lake’s weekly social event! It has been an incredible season, with fantastic food, drink, entertainment, and a sense of community. This coming Wednesday September 11th, in partnership with Wine Country Vintners, The SupperMarket will be holding a bottle drive to benefit the Niagara on the Lake Air Cadets. There will be a drop off area located directly behind the Kids Zone bouncy castle; bring your empty bottles with you to support the Air Cadets. Also on the evening of the 11th, the Snowbirds Air Show is scheduled; show up early to SupperMarket for a great view (they will be flying over at approximately 4:30pm) then stay for the evening. All of your favourite food vendors will be ready to go, offering up their best dishes, wines from Small Talk & Hare, beer from Oast House and Newark Brewing, cider from Ironwood, and musical entertainment on the Shaw Festival Market stage by the talented Cory Cruise. And as always, the free “Kid’s Zone” will be open from 6-8pm.
FARMERS’ MARKET SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH
Start your weekend off right, and meet up with friends and neighbours at this Saturday’s Farmers’ Market. Our fantastic farmers and vendors will be ready to serve you with fresh Niagara produce, pickles and preserves, gourmet jam, baked goods, local maple syrup and honey, gourmet compound butter, and much, much more. We will have live entertainment from 9 am to 1 pm by Market newcomer Anthony Abbruscato, and as always, delicious breakfast and lunch options will be available. Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm until October 5th.
The Market @ The Village is continuing to accept donations of non-perishable food items for Newark Neighbours at both Wednesday SupperMarket and Saturday Farmers’ Market. SupperMarket runs every Wednesday 4:30-9pm until September 18th, and Farmers Market every Saturday 8am-1pm until October 5th.
