Farmers’ Market for Saturday August 20th

THIS SATURDAY AUGUST 20th

Join us this Saturday for “Tomato Day @ The Market” where we will be featuring all things tomato!  If you have been to the Farmers’ Market in the past few weeks, you have likely been drawn to the colorful displays of heirloom tomatoes. Red, purple, yellow, green, orange, pink – it’s a rainbow! This Saturday, our farmers will be sampling some lesser-known Heirloom varieties, our food vendors and artisans will be featuring some amazing tomato-based products, and one lucky customer will go home with a fabulous Market Gift Basket, brimming with items generously donated by our vendors.

Heirloom is a term used to describe any tomato plant that is openly pollinated by wind or bees and that has been growing for more than 50 years, whose seeds have been passed down for generations. Some of the featured Heirloom varieties @ Market will be Sweet Million, Plazma, Yellow Pear, Montana Red, Black Krim, Big Yellow, Sun Gold, Brad’s Atomic Grape, Sunrise Bumblebee, Purple Bumblebee, Brilliant, San Marzano, Amish Paste, and Black Cherry.

Join us to celebrate the tomato bounty and to sample many varieties of  Heirlooms at our Tomato Day @ The Market on Saturday August 20th from 8am-1pm, 111 Garrison Village Dr (in front of the Garrison House Restaurant)

Everything local; everything Niagara!  Enjoy shopping outdoors at the Market for a few more warm mornings before there is an autumn nip in the air.
